Baby Bearded Dragon Overview
Each baby bearded dragon is a great-looking lizard that makes for a great pet. Our baby dragons are very well started at the time of purchase. These Baby Bearded Dragons as they are affectionately known are raised on a combination of insects and veggies for optimal health. Our baby dragons are healthy, young specimens raised under optimal conditions that receive daily from our dedicated staff. Some of the other baby bearded dragon morphs include the citrus and red morphs.
Caring For Your Baby Bearded Dragon
Caring for these lizards is as easy as starting with the right setup. We recommend a medium-sized terrarium for young dragons. Start with our bearded dragon substrate which is easy to clean and dust-free free. For terrarium lighting, we recommen75-wattwatt100-watt watt basking light depending on the size of the enclosure. The second recommended light is the 10.0 UVB light bulb to simulate the sun’s UVB rays. Finally, a mixture of our flexible reptile vines and jungle vines makes a great-looking environment for baby beardies.

- Captive Bearded Dragons (as opposed to wild caught) tend to be docile and gentle-natured. At Big Apple Pet Supply, we carry only Captive Bred Bearded Dragons.
- Approximate sizes: Babies – 4 to 5 inches; juveniles – 6 to 10 inches; subadults – 11 to 16 inches; adults – 17 to 24 inches. Reaches full adult size in approximately 18 months.
- Sturdy and long-lived – typically 10 years in captivity.
- Curious and attentive to everything around them, most owners confirm their dragons have individual personalities!
- Easy to handle; ideal for children.

This is only my second exotic pet and to be honest, I was pleased with the option I made. The lizard itself was normal acting, only hissed and tailwhiped during the very first interaction. “I did most of the hissing” but I absolutely love my savvy #Reptar. I would’ve like to see a birth certificate or some type of record of health for him, which I didn’t think to ask about. I know he’s is in the 3-6 month window now. Got my savanna n it was Healthy a Lil cool from trip (Florida to Pa) but alive n alert. Placed it n his temp housing to warm up n monitor my monitor, lol, all good so far. Ate some first day but regerd it shortly after not sure why maybe to soon n not warmed up enough. But, day 2 was all good with eating. He’s friendly n easily held. He’s moving to his new home today.
