Blood Red Corn Snake Overview
The blood red corn snake is a bright colorful version of the red rat snake. Our baby blood red corn snake for sale are feeding weekly on both live and frozen-thawed fuzzy mice. You may also want to check out some of out other corn snake morphs as well.
Housing Corn Snake
Creating a suitable environment is critical for the well being of your snake.
A hatchling corn snake should be housed in a minimum of a 90cm vivarium, upgrading to a 120cm once they reach maturity.
Lots of hides should be provided for the snake to feel safe, as well as a moss filled hide to aid shedding, and a water bowl large enough for the snake to soak in if it feels like it.
Make sure that waste is removed as soon as possible, and that the vivarium, decor, and water bowl are cleaned regularly with a reptile safe disinfectant.
Why do these snakes make the perfect pet?
Their gentle nature, moderate fully grown size, low likelihood to bite and pattern, as well as simple care needs, mean that they are relatively easy to keep as a pet.
Corn Snake diet
Young corn snake should initially be fed pink mice, and move to adult mice as they grow bigger. Larger corn snakes may be able to eat smaller rodents such as gerbils, hamsters and young rats. It is important to not feed live rodents to your corn snake, as a bite may injure your snake.
Feeding the Corn Snake
Feed your corn snake one defrosted mouse or rat a week, no larger than the widest part of the body. Once they reach maturity they can be fed every other week, and can be offered small rats, chicks, and other species that are the appropriate size.
Ensure that all frozen prey items are thoroughly defrosted in a fridge overnight, then brought up to room temperature before being offered to the snake. Prey can either be offered on tongs, or left in the vivarium for the snake to find.

Well here we go… I wait for the shipment of the pinstriped ball python I purchased. It was cold down here in Colorado. So the day chosen to ship was my choice. The overnight delivery from Florida meant that the temp was going to decrease. When I picked him up and drove home with my new friend I did have a worry. When I opened the box and insulation lining with heat pad attached I found a very cold and moving friend! ? I have now had the snake for 4 days everything going great ! Received my male pinstripe 09/2017. I am very pleased with my purchase. He was in the later stages of a shed when he arrived, but acclimated very soon and shed nicely. His appetite is great and i have recently managed to switch him from live to frozen/thawed. Very docile, nicely patterned and extremely healthy. Got my pinstripe baby in the other day and he’s SO beautiful, curious and calm. I was so worried he’d be startled from the shipping but he was packaged nicely and immediately explored his new tank, looking around curiously. He’s beautiful an I love him to death. (:
